Dr. Courtney Vito is currently the Medical Director for Optum Care Breast Care and is one of the country’s most highly rated physicians specializing in breast care. Dr. Vito has previously held positions as the Assistant Professor for the Department of General and Oncologic Surgery, City of Hope National Medical Center and Director of Fellow Education, Surgical Oncology Fellowship, City of Hope National Medical Center. She has been part of many research projects, poster presentations, and has been published in many investigation research journals and authored a chapter for “Intraoperative Radiation Therapy for Breast Cancer” In Current Surgical Therapy, Cameron eds. 16th edition which is one of the most widely read and recognized definitive surgical textbooks. Furthermore, Dr. Vito has been awarded many honors such as Exceptional Women in Medicine-Inaugural Award, Top Regional Doctor (Castle Connolly), Top Doctors, Pasadena Magazine, and Southern California Super Doctors Rising Stars. She is currently a member of several professional organizations and committees, including Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease, and Continuing Medical Education Committee, American Society Breast Surgeons.
