What is water aerobics?
Water aerobics is a low impact exercise. It’s both an aerobic and muscle-building workout. People enjoy exercising in the water more than they do on land, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Who can do it?
Almost anyone can take a water aerobics class. Be sure to check with your doctor before starting a program. For those with physical disabilities or trouble moving around on land, water aerobics may offer a great exercise alternative to walking.
