Patient care philosophy

Even as a young child, I have always been a dreamer. My parents taught me that as long as I could dream, put hard work and perseverance behind that dream, I could be anything I wanted to be.

The sight of any human being laid down by infirmity evokes strong feelings of compassion in me. I felt that being a doctor would be my own little way to contribute to my community and society.

Having experienced medical issues within my family made me relate more to my patients and instilled in me to promote the principles of the Hippocratic oath to the fullest.

To borrow the words of my favorite author, "Be, not simply to be good, be good for something. Be, but just don't exist. There is more to life than being just another name on the list. Remember that a diamond is just a chunk of coal that made good under pressure." (Henry David Thoreau)

These words never fail to inspire me.
