Virtual care

Get the care you need when you need it — without leaving home.

Find care

Optum offers several virtual care options to connect with your doctor:

  • A phone visit
  • A visit to our patient portal
  • A video visit on your computer, smartphone or tablet

Phone and video visits work well for:

  • Routine follow-ups for long-term problems and medications
  • Talking about lab or imaging results
  • Minor infections, illnesses or injuries
  • Basic health concerns, such as a cold or flu

You can meet with your doctor through live video with your computer, smartphone or tablet — from the comfort of home.

Video visits are a safe and easy way to get the care you need. You can:

  • Connect face-to-face with your doctor
  • Get great, personalized care
  • Save time and worry less about getting to the clinic

Just like a visit in our clinic, during a video visit you can:

  • Have a visual exam, if your care doesn’t require an in-person visit
  • Ask your doctor questions
  • Get important information from your doctor
  • Get prescriptions sent to your chosen pharmacy

If you don’t have a computer, smartphone or laptop, you may be able to have a phone visit.

Patient portal

  • Send a message to your doctor.
  • Request medication refills.
  • Request an appointment.
  • View lab test results.
  • Set up an account for a caregiver or family member to help you.

If you don’t have a portal account yet, you can create one.
