A message to our communities

Daniel S. Frank, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Optum Care

Our nearly 50,000 doctors that serve 18.5 million patients have been working tirelessly to keep you and our communities safe. As a member of your community, we’ve faced a lot of challenges together. We are heartbroken by the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

As the coronavirus disease continues to impact the way each of us live our daily lives, we’ve been thinking about you. Over the past months, we’ve changed the way we deliver care to help protect you by limiting physical contact. We’ve held thousands of video visits while many of our clinics were closed.

Video visits can take care of many kinds of medical problems. But they can’t take care of everything you might need. It’s important to keep up with important health care screenings. Some screenings can only be done in person. That’s why we’re thoughtfully opening our clinics. And, we want to welcome you back.

We’ve taken significant steps to make sure you feel safe and  comfortable when visiting us in-person.
