Orange ginger smoothie
A fresh start to the day.
Do you drink smoothies? They can be a quick go-to snack or meal. They’re easy to make and convenient. Take one with you while you run errands. Make one for breakfast before work. You can really make them your own by combining different ingredients. If you’re looking for a new recipe, try this delicious orange ginger smoothie.
Ingredients
- 2 fresh oranges
- 1 cup almond milk (or any other milk)
- 2 TBSP honey*
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 1 TBSP raw ginger (or ½ inch piece)
- 1 TSP vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Bittersweet chocolate
*Instead of honey, use agave nectar or stevia to make it diabetic-friendly.
Directions
Begin by peeling oranges. Next, peel and chop raw ginger. Blend all ingredients together for 30-60 seconds. Taste and adjust the sweetness, if needed. Finally, grate bittersweet chocolate on top.
